The Wolfman (2010) Thoughts
Its been a few weeks since i saw this movie, but the memories of seeing it live on for me. I have not seen such garbage since i don't know when. I had little hope going in and i had even more coming out of it. The only saving grace was HUGO FUCKING WEAVING. The fact that such a classic movie was remade into this crap is beyond me. So i guess thats what it boils down to. I guess i am being a little critical at first, but heres what i mean.
Lets take our main star, Benicio Del Toro, whose last role i remember him being Jackie Boy in Sin City. I never thought anyone other than Liev Schreiber's performance in the remake of the Omen to be the dullest thing i have ever seen. He had the personality of a wet paper towel and did not keep my interest at all. He seemed like a spoiled brat the entire movie and didnt seem to care about the other characters but Emily Blunt's character as a sad widow whose husband (Del Toro's on screen brother) was killed by the wolfman at the beginning of the movie.
Maybe im being to harsh on this movie, maybe the story isnt so bad. Maybe im overlooking Anthony Hopkins performance which to me was the best acting in the movie. Even Hugo Weaving didn't hold up to this guy. Maybe im being a tad biased to the fact that i am a Anthony Hobkins fan.

Random Thoughts: the economy, job market, and the american dream
Now, i never said i was an expert on economical trends and or why our national economy sucks the way it is, but i am here to really just give my thoughts to why i think it sucks.
As a worker in the world of industry and retail, i have been limited by fate to the amount of hours i work a week, not by choice but because i am limited by forces of those in the higher positions. I have worked for an industrial supply company for almost 2 years now, and i have since April 2009, worked only 5 hours a week with them because of the total amount of hours per week is enough for those who have worked longer than i have. This to me is not right, why should i be treated any differently, i may not be a counter worker at my branch, or i interact with customers and contractors, but i know my stuff. At the same time, i really dont give a flying hoot about the stuff we sell. I dont know what we sell or what its used for.
On the other end i work for a retail chain, dvd/music/electronic store that i have worked for in the past. But at the time i post this blog, i might not be a part of the store. But to really think about this in a negative light is to be unfair. I like this company but i feel that the with the times the way they are, everyone wants to get a cut and everyone wants money more than ever.
I guess the point im trying to make here is the fact of the matter is simple:
you work, you live, you die
wow, bet you didnt know where i was going with this!
Ok, seriously, i dont know when we can expect a full economical recovery, but when it does, i hope theres some money in it.
